Randy and Cindy married on December 8, 1973
I was 18 and he was 21. We met at the donut shop which his parents owned and where we both worked.

This is the first guitar Randy completed making, a regular acoustic, after much hard work and a great extensive learning experience and much perserverence.

He worked as a computer network specialist for a medical billing software company before he retired.

Randy in his guitar making shop. It takes a lot of tools to make a guitar.

Another guitar completed. This one is a classical guitar. He did a great job.

Cindy with the classical guitar Randy made for her
It's beautiful and sounds wonderful too, much better than ready made manufactured guitars.

She's such a blessing.

Cindy with her younger brother Frank Byers
This was taken after going to a funeral for our half cousin, Wyman Byers, who thankfully was a saved Christian and is in heaven.
Frank used to be a paramedic for many years before he retired due to his dominant hand (left) went numb after having neck surgery and he could no longer perform the tasks necessary for being a paramedic.

Cindy and Frank with the two figure skaters, Allie and Katie, at their ice skating show.
It was a great show and they skated so beautifully.

After my small strokes, it left me cross-eyed for a few years before I finally decided to get them fixed at Kellogg Eye Center in MI. My eyes are perfect now thankfully.

Randy and Cindy's sailboat
This is the sailboat that just the two of us were in when we got caught in a very bad tuberlent storm as we were crossing the Saginaw Bay in Lake Huron from Tawas City to Caseville, Michigan. We were out in the middle of the bay with no land in sight. The winds and waves were roaring and tossing our boat violently. The only reason we are alive today is because God saved us from that storm. I believe the year was about 2004. On the link below are the poems that I wrote inspired by this event.
I Love Jesus, Sailing with Jesus, and Safe in the Storm

Cindy, Gloria, and Kim doing a Christmas concert at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, Michigan
Gloria has her Christmas outfit on. I used to love playing the saxophone. Later on I started playing the soprano sax also. Gloria was our mascot and went everywhere with us because she was so well behaved and people loved looking at her sitting on a chair.

We have a lot of good memories in that house.

Cindy and Gloria at Jackie Good's house in Otisville, Michigan
Jackie loved her. She has always been a dog lover and has had a lot of chihuahuas.

Kim, Randy, and Cindy doing a concert, with Gloria, our mascot, at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, Michigan
Gloria was such a good girl; she just sat on the chair the whole time we were playing our music. She was such a special girl.

Randy and Kim

Randy at some kind of work convention about computers
Joey was so sweet when he was a little boy. I remember whenever he was having computer problems, he always used to say, "I wish my grandpa was here. He knows a lot about computers." Now Joey is going to online college for cyber security.

Cindy in her new home office
I did medical transcription before going on disability due to having some small strokes and my brain not working properly enough to do that any more
I loved my job and working at home. I have always loved typing. I also loved learning medical terminology. God opened doors for me to get my foot in the door to get me started with my first job and led me to people who were willing to train me. Then I trained my daughter, Kim, how to do medical transcription and she did that at home until she decided to go to college for nursing and is now a RN.
Also when I had my strokes it did something to my brain and I surprisingly started writing poetry, which I had never done before in my life. I guess my brain got rewired.

Like mother, like daughter. Jennifer loved her toy saxophone, but she ended up playing the trumpet in band when she got older. She was an excellent trumpet player. I used to love to hear her play.
