Lay Up Treasures In Heaven
All the vain empty works
of this world will soon be vanished
all the toys and trinkets
that you lived for and relished
So lay up your treasures in Heaven
and not be a shortsighted fool
Labor for your savior
and let Him have supreme rule
Jesus promised to give us
according to our own work and labor
He will be perfectly fair and just
and show no one favor
So stop filling up your time here
with things that don't even matter
spending hours upon hours
with idle talk and chatter
Life here is too short to waste
and of so much more worth
than to squander away with temporary
pleasures and things of earth
So seek for the souls of people
while there is still time yet
to be a fisher of men
praying for God to give a full net
Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal;
