My Husband

I'm thankful for the husband the Lord has given me

Throughout the years he's been faithful and I know will always be

I'm sorry now for not showing my appreciation for him

He has done so much for me and even went out on a limb

He's stayed by my side through thick and thin

If he would not have,I shudder to think what might have been

We've been through many adventures together

and have survived all kinds of stormy weather

We've seen our little pups get born into the world

and watched as they grew up and got in bundles and were curled

We've sailed across the mighty waves of the bay

Jesus was in the boat and guiding us all the way

We went through many trials that we don't know where they came from

and only through God's mercy we were able to overcome

I'm so glad and happy that I still have my man

He helps me to keep going and makes me think I can

I'm happy to have him with me and to help me stand

and if I should cross over first I want him to hold my hand

 

I Love My Husband

I love my husband more

than he really knows

He is the one who takes me

to the store when it snows

I’m the helpless one who needs a

strong shoulder for support

and he’s always there for me

like a sturdy fort

Though he has many ailments

and struggles to get through each day

he somehow finds the strength

to go on anyway

He has a tender heart with so much love

for his whole family

and everyone loves him too

for being the best "daddy"
